Three very different, recent assignments at Hopkins School, in New Haven CT (Hopkins celebrated it’s 350th year this year. Yes, you read that correctly: 350 years of educating students!):
The first assignment was was to photograph typical class day activities (i.e. classes, studying, etc.):
The second assignment was the graduation of the Class of 2010. With other photographers there to shoot the typical ceremony shots and portraits of the graduates and their families, I was able to free-wheel-it a bit:
The last assignment was to photograph the school’s celebration of their 350th year (Imagine! They were educating kids before Yale University even existed!). Again, there were multiple photographers and we had different assignments. Here are a couple of my favorites from my assignments:
